Freelance Coach - STARSkate

Hello, my name is Valerie Weber.  I have been coaching figure skating for 30 years and have never missed a competition or a test day.  I am a Skate Canada Level 2 Certified Professional Figure Skating Coach through the National Coaching Certification Program.  Along with coaching at the Owen Sound Skating Club, I coach in Wiarton and in Shallow Lake.

I am certified and coach all levels and components of skating, from CanSkate to Adult Skaters in skills, dance, freeskate, and interpretive.  My coaching career is immensely rewarding and has had a lot of successes, such as coaching from their first dance right through to their last gold dance: 13 Skate Canada Gold Dance skaters, 3 Skate Canada Gold Skills, and 4 Skate Canada Gold Freeskate Interpretive Medalists.

My outgoing and animated personality, combined with my extensive experiences coaching Gold Levels, ensures that my skaters will get the most of the sport that they can.  I strive for all of my skaters to reach the Skate Canada Gold Level Standard but most importantly that they have fun on and off of the ice.

“Working hard is the answer, but ATTITUDE is everything.” –Elvis Stojko

If you have any questions you can contact me.  I am excited to share my love of skating with you!
