Skates & Equipment

CANSkate

DO

• Hockey or Figure Skates  - ankle support, well-fitting, SHARPENED
• CSA approved hockey helmet
• Warm clothing layers - turtle neck, sweater, light jacket, splash pants
• Warm mitts or gloves
• Head band /  Hair Tie
• Towel to dry blades after use
  

DON'T

• Plastic or molded skates
• Remove toe picks from figure skates - we need them!
• Bulky snowsuits/pants
• Scarves

POWERSkate

• Full hockey equipment including stick
• Must wear CSA approved hockey helmet

STARSkate

• Well fitting, supportive figure skates - Jackson, Riedell, GAM etc
• Form-fitting clothing - leggings, skirt or dress
• Warm, layers - yoga jacket
• Mitts or gloves (avoid anything bulky or oversized)
• Towel to dry blades after use
• Hard skate guards for walking off ice surface
• Soft blade covers for storage
